Special WEDNESDAY night tasting at The Wine Closet…

The Holidays are indeed a special time of year and a great time to taste some fab bubbly to share with friends and family. Champagne makes an ideal brunch wine, a perfect wine to get your tastebuds ready for your holiday dinner, and we all know it’s a tradition to ring in the New Year! Let’s hear it for traditions :-)

So let’s find that perfect bottle together shall we? We’ll be tasting three beautifully made Champagne’s, a domestic Sparkler you’re sure to fall in love with and maybe a Prosecco from Italy or something bubbly from the Loire Valley of France – either way we’re sure you’ll find something perfect for your occasion.

Tasting is $25 per person with light appetizers

I’m talking about Shaun Frohn, owner/winemaker for Consensio Cellars in Camarillo, California. Shaun works 7 days a week at the Camarillo Custom Crush facility where he not only makes his own wines such as Tempranillo, Super Tuscan and Sangiovese, but also consults for other local winemakers trying their hand at producing hand-crafted wines from locally grown grapes.

Where can you taste Shaun’s wine? He’ll be pouring them at a special tasting event at The Wine Closet this Thursday, December 10th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Tasting is $15 per person and includes 4 of Shaun’s wines and tasty appetizers. Reservation are not required, but if you have a large group, it is recommended to arrive on time as space is limited.
