Edward Sellers Blanc du Rhone

Had this bottle chilled last night as a beginner wine for the evening.  It’s a bold white Rhone blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier and Grenache Blanc.  Had a nice citrus blossom nose intermixed with a little tropical fruit (like pineapple).  The wine has a silky texture that’s creamy and coats the mouth quite pleasantly.  It has nice structure and is well balanced between fruit and acidity – just enough to make you want another sip.  This wine should be paired with rich flavored foods such as salmon, shrimp or scallops in a rich, creamy/buttery-type sauce.  I drank on it’s own and enjoyed every sip.
